The SMTC Library is located on the second floor of the Campus Center.
The library is designed as a research, study and recreational reading
area for the entire SMTC community. One of the library's missions is
to assist users in learning how to locate, evaluate and use information.
For a tour of the library click here.
The library houses a collection in excess of 15,000 volumes and subscribes
to over 300 periodicals and numerous on-line databases. Many of these
resources can be accessed from a remote location as well. Local, state
and regional newspapers are available.
Through participation in local and regional library networks the library
is able to obtain additional resources for its users. We are also a
member of the Greater Portland Alliance of Colleges and Universities
which provides our patrons with borrowing privileges at five area schools:
Maine College of Art, Southern Maine Technical College, Saint Joseph's
College, University of New England - Biddeford and Portland Campuses,
University of Southern Maine - Gorham and Portland Campuses
