Courses and Registration

Summer 2004 and Fall 2004 Registration Dates

April 12: summer and fall course registration begins for returning matriculated students.

April 26: open registration for summer 2004 begins

May 3: fall 2004 registration begins for new matriculated students

June 1: fall 2004 open registration begins

Anyone can Take Classes

Anyone in the community can take SMCC classes in a given semester without applying for admission to a full program (although matriculated students have first priority for registration in credit courses). Registration for both credit and non-credit courses is through the Registrar’s Office which is located in the Campus Center.

There are several ways that you can register:

*During the first two weeks of each semester hours are extended two hours, Monday - Thursday.

SMCC's Online Registration process is fast, easy, reliable, and secure.

By mail:
Print a registration form, complete form and send with check or money order payable to SMCC, purchase order, or credit card number (include expiration date). Attention: Office of the Registrar, SMCC, Fort Road, South Portland, Maine 04106

Print a registration form, complete the form, fax with purchase order, or credit card number (include expiration date) to the Office of the Registrar at 741-5671.

Veterans Administration:
The Registrar's Office will aid in answering questions concerning VA benefits, or referrals will be made to the Veteran's Administration in Togus, Maine or Buffalo , New York. VA forms are available at the Registrar's Office. Once completed, they are submitted to the Veteran's Administration by a Certifying Official. All students that are receiving veterans' benefits, are required to sign in at the Registrar's Office at the beginning of each month.
